These kids are in fear and they are pushed further into the closet. This is not the time to do that. This country needs their best and their brightest to reach their full potential. They’re not going to do that if they’re afraid to come to school, if they’re afraid to walk down the street, or even if they’re afraid to go home and get on their computer. So, please, I urge all of you to help.

Creative Writing Piece
The light flickered as the man sat pouring over the blueprints that were scattered on his desk. Stubby pencil in hand, he leant over to make a minute change, his perfectionism shining through as the deadline for the ships design drew ever closer. “This is my masterpiece,” he thought, staring at the flimsy sheets of paper that would soon transform into the greatest ship his generation has ever seen. A knock on the door disrupted his train of thoughts.
“The board can see you now, Mr. Andrews,” the young intern informed him politely, his slight build framed by the light spilling through the doorway.
Mr. Andrews sighed and stood slowly, not wanting to tear himself away from his desk. Without a sound, he moved around the figure in the doorway and waited expectantly in the corridor.
“This way sir.”
